Dr. Shippee is the owner of Shippee Family Eye Care, P.C. and The Surgical Center at Shippee Family Eye Care.  He has dedicated over two decades to the patients of New Hampshire's North Country and Vermont's Northeast Kingdom.   With extensive clinical expertise and training in glaucoma, macular degeneration, ocular trauma and ocular-systemic disease, he is fully prepared to handle our region's eye care needs. 

Dr. Shippee received his B.S. from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.  He is a current board member of the New Hampshire Optometric Association and an associate member of the American Optometric Association and the Vermont Optometric Association.  Previously, Dr. Shippee volunteered his time and equipment to establish the Hillsborough Clinic in Grenada, West Indies, helping to provide both examination and optical goods for this underserved island community.

When not in clinic, you can run into Dr. Shippee on the hiking trails, waterways or the slopes with his wife Karena or their three children. 

Dr. Maddison Wilson graduated from Quinnipiac University where she received her B.S. in Health Science Studies. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.  Dr. Wilson has experience in surgical co-management, ocular disease and primary eye care, including a rotation at the Naval Health Clinic in Newport, Rhode Island. Dr.  Wilson has a special interest in nutrition and how it relates to vision and ocular health.  She hopes to share her passion and knowledge of visual wellness with patients of all ages.  She is a born and raised New Englander and is looking forward to exploring her new home with her husband and dog.  

Trisha has been in the optical industry for more than 20 years. After graduating from Champlain College with an Associate Degree in Business Management, she was first employed by Dr. Lee Eastman, O.D. She became a registered Ophthalmic Assistant with the American Optometric Association and is now an ABO certified Optician. 
She belongs to the New Hampshire Opticians Society, American Paraoptometric Association, National Academy of Opticians and is a registered ophthalmic dispenser in New Hampshire. 

She has been a volunteer on two separate VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) missions to Peru and India, in charge of the optical dispensaries on both missions. Trisha has also been the volunteer community member for the CQI Committee at Weeks Hospital in Lancaster. 

After graduating from Southern New Hampshire University with an Associate Degree in Business Administration, Grace joined the Shippee Family Eye Care team and became a Certified Paraoptometric. Her combination of skills allow her to assist with anything from scheduling an exam to teaching patients how to handle and care for their contact lenses. 

Grace is a New Hampshire native, but now calls the NEK of VT her home. In her free time she enjoys crafting, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Hannah joins our team with over 7 years of experience in healthcare patient services. Her cheerful disposition will happily greet you when you visit our office. Hannah is a life long resident of New Hampshire where she resides with her husband and children. In her free time Hannah enjoys spending time with her family on her husband's family's farm.

Chasity joins our team as a front desk specialist.

Karissa has over 10 years experience in patient care and customer service. Her caring and companionate personality make her a perfect fit to our patient care team. Karissa enjoys helping patients and ensuring all there needs are met and questions answered during their exam. Her knowledgeable background in medical patient care creates an efficient and caring atmosphere throughout the entire office. We our very excited to have Karissa as part of our team. Karissa resides locally with her husband and daughter, and is excited to help others in her local community.
