Dr. Shippee has extensive training in ocular disease management including glaucoma, macular degeneration, ocular trauma, and ocular-systemic disease diagnosis and treatment.

Other areas of focus include specialty contact lenses and pediatrics. Dr. Shippee received his B.S. from Jacksonville University, in Jacksonville, Florida and his doctor of optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry, in Memphis, Tennessee with rotations at the Mountain Home Veteran's Affairs Hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Dr. Shippee is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the New Hampshire Optometric Association (NHOA), the AOA Contact Lens and Low Vision Sections, and is also a member of the Optometric Retina Society. He has volunteered his time at the Hillsborough Clinic in Greneda, West Indies, performing examinations and continues to help with their optical needs. 

Dr. Erica Guelette received a B.S. in Applied Biology from Ferris State University in 2010. After spending two years teaching Anatomy and Physiology to Nursing students at Baker College, MI, she became part of the inaugural Optometry class of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, in which she obtained her Doctorate of Optometry in 2016. She is excited to serve our pediatric and adult populations in routine and specialized eye care. Dr. Guelette comes to our office after most recently practicing at Tallman Eye Associates in Massachusetts, a multi-disciplinary primary eyecare and surgical clinic.

Dr. Guelette, originally from Michigan, maintains her outdoor enthusiasm with hikes through New England's trail system.

Molly King, OD graduated from Marist College with honors in 2013 with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences. She then went on to receive her doctorate from The New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA in 2017. From there, she completed a residency in ocular disease and primary eye care within the VA Boston Healthcare System in Brockton, MA. 

After residency, Dr. King joined the team at the Center for Eye Health in Massachusetts, a large, multi-specialty ophthalmology practice serving communities south of Boston. During her time there, she provided routine and specialty care to the patients of all ages, including pediatric exams, post-operative care, contact lens fittings, and low vision examinations.

Originally from Hampton, New Jersey, Dr. King considers herself an honorary New Englander and is excited to explore her new home of Vermont with her husband and two rescue dogs. 

Sara joined Shippee Family Eye Care with a degree in Medical Assisting and several years of experience as an ophthalmic technician. Since then, she has obtained a Bachelor's of Science and the highest level of CPO certification (CPOT), through the American Optometric Association.

Sara's versatility of skills allows for her contributions from the front desk to the exam room and we are so happy to have her warmth and kindness in our office daily. Sara currently lives in Central Vermont with her son and enjoys spending time with her family.

Tiffany joins our Optical team in Montpelier after years of being a Licensed Nursing Assistant. Her work history has shown her the healthcare world from direct patient care to working in Integrated Health for a major insurer. We are so excited she has found her match in our Optical Department. Utilizing her patient care skills and insurance knowledge, Tiffany has aptly handled the depth of knowledge required to professionally assist patients in solving their visual needs. We are excited to continue and watch her grow her roles in our clinics.

A resident of Central Vermont, Tiffany enjoys reading and spending time with her son and loved ones.

Deb is a Licensed Optician with years of experience assisting the customers of central Vermont. A wealth of knowledge in optical solutions and compassion for visual deficiencies make Deb a powerful piece of our puzzle. Her empathy for visual challenges and her deep desire to assist others makes a wonderful marriage with her intellect to create an inclusive patient experience. We are so happy to welcome Deb into our SFEC family.

Outside of work, Deb makes trips to the beach, kayaking, and hiking apriority during Vermont's summer months.

Brittney joins our team with 4 years of customer service experience in retail. She is energized to continue working in close connection with our community and is excited to now assist them with their eye health needs. Her caring and compassionate nature, and skills in customer service, are a great addition to our team at SFEC.  We are excited to have her.  Brittney was born and raised in Glens Falls, New York and moved to Vermont in 2016. Outside of work she enjoys relaxing with her family at home by the wood stove and cuddling with their 3 cats.

Jeffrey was born and raised in Waterbury, Vermont. He Spent 25 years managing high end restaurants all around the country. Upon moving back to Central Vermont in 2014, Jeffrey decided to pursue a career in healthcare and spent 3 years at a primary care office in
Waitsfield. Jeffrey is excited to be part of Shippee Family Eye Care, and we are excited to have him as part of our team. Jeffrey is ready to share his many years of customer service experience with our patients and is very excited to help others in his community. Jeffrey is an avid reader and loves to spend time with
his family at the beach in the summer.
